Zara is a committed and passionate advocate to those facing difficult situations involving capacity issues and death of a loved one. Recognizing that individuals often seek legal advice during some of the most challenging times of their lives, she takes a creative and practical approach to help clients efficiently resolve their disputes. Zara is dedicated to providing timely and reliable service.

Zara’s interest in litigation stems from her experience as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, where she was an advocate for low-income individuals in the community and represented clients at the Social Benefits Tribunal. She became interested in estates law when she assisted one such client with their inheritance and property issues.

Zara then went on to become Casey & Moss’s first summer student and later returned to the firm as an associate after completing her articles at the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, a branch of Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General. At the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, Zara worked on a variety of issues in estates and trusts, civil litigation, and family law and represented child clients in child protection and high-conflict custody and access matters at the Ontario Court of Justice.

Zara speaks Cantonese and is conversational in French. She studied abroad at Université Paris Dauphine in Paris, France and Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.

Outside the office, Zara can be found eating her way through Toronto, training for her next marathon, or tending to her beloved vegetable and herb garden.
